Mehar Ahuja
As an Indian immigrant therapist, my approach is enriched by international and migrant experiences. Growing up across India and moving to the United States has shaped my ability to support individuals, couples, and families in fostering resilience amidst self-doubt, confusion, and change.
By combining Inner Child Work and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), our sessions prioritize healing painful younger experiences to improve your emotional well-being as an adult. This collaborative process involves sifting through feelings of anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, and intergenerational trauma together.
I also provide personalized exercises for you to engage with outside of sessions, so we can track your progress, maintain momentum, and celebrate your strides. If you’re looking to manage distress better, embrace vulnerability, and improve your relationships, then this therapeutic approach is perfect for you.
*In addition to English, I can speak Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
